Can you help me manage my investments?

Do you have information on bonds for amounts over £25,000?

From time to time fixed rate bond providers offer better rates for higher balances.  Please contact us on 0800 321 3581 to see if there are any available at the moment.

 

Do you provide information on current accounts?

In general, we don't. The exceptions are where the providers, such as Lloyds, Nationwide & Santander, offer an interest rate for balances above a certain amount.

 

How do I activate my Rate Tracker account?

Either enter the email address you originally signed up with into the home page, or click on the login button at the top right hand side of every page.  The system will re-send an activation email to you. Just click on the link and you're good to go.

 

How do I add accounts to my portfolio?

Once you've logged in, go to the Rate Tracker page and the system will automatically display your current portfolio.  You will find an Add Account button on the top left hand side of your portfolio and also at the end.

 

How do I add an Index Linked Certificate to my portfolio?

We now treat Index Linked Certificates in the same way as fixed rate products such as bonds and ISAs. Login to the site then go to the Rate Tracker page where your portfolio is displayed.  Select the Add Account function and then choose the Fixed Rate Accounts option on the right hand side of the window. Select your provider - most likely NS&I, then select Index Linked Certificates from the Account Type drop down menu.  Enter your balance and the month and year that your Index Linked Certificate matures and then Add Product.

 

How do I cancel my Rate Tracker subscription?

Go to the Your Account tab on the top right hand side of every page where you can edit your details and manage your subscriptions for all of our services.

 

How do I change my email address?

Go to the Your Account tab on the top right hand side of every page where you can edit your details and manage your subscriptions for all of our services.

 

How do I change my password?

Go to the Your Account tab on the top right hand side of every page where you can edit your details, change your password and manage your subscriptions for all of our services.

 

How do I delete an account from my Rate Tracker portfolio?

Login to the site then go to the Rate Tracker page where your portfolio is displayed.  Find the entry for the account you want to delete and click the delete button at the bottom left hand side of the record. The system will ask you to confirm your request. If you do, the account will disappear from your portfolio.

 

How do I enter a balance for my account? 

If you're having trouble entering a balance it is probably because you've entered a '. Just re-enter the amount without a comma. You can enter pence.

 

How do I know if an ISA product will accept transfers in?

Our best buy tables provide this information or you can contact us on 0800 321 3581.

 

How do I sign up for Rate Alert?

Go to the News and Alerts page and scroll down to the signup box on the bottom left hand side of the page.

 

I can't find my account in Rate Tracker.

We aim to provide a full list of all of the 4000+ UK based savings accounts, both live and closed, with the latest savings rates.  If you think we've missed one we'd appreciate it if you could notify us. Then we can add the missing account to our database. 

 

I have a lump sum to invest, can you help?

I've just had the following message when I tried to log into your site. "Forbidden (403). CSRF verification failed. Request aborted.
